Alwyn McCormick – Sugar Plum Fairy Originally from Lake Arrowhead, Ca., Ms. McCormick began her ballet training with Sharon McCormick, her mother. She continued studying at the San Francisco Ballet, State Ballet of Oregon and the Joffrey Ballet School. She pursued a professional career with Colorado Ballet, where she was featured in such ballets as Romeo and Juliet, Coppelia, Nutcracker, Serenade, Stars and Stripes and originated the principal role in No Consequences by Gary Lewis. Currently she is an independent freelance artist in New York City. Her guest work includes performances with Eglevsky Ballet, Reshef Ballet Theatre, New York Ballet Troupe, Joffrey Ensemble and New Choreographers on Point. Ms. McCormick is glad to be returning to Lake Arrowhead Classical Ballet Company and dancing with Vincent McCloskey. |

Vincent McCloskey – Cavalier After studying in Chicago and Washington D.C., Vincent McCloskey was granted the Special Fellowship Award to study at Alvin Ailey American Dance Center in New York City. He later pursued classical ballet training at the Joffrey Ballet School. Upon completion he danced professionally with Festival Ballet Rhode Island, Renvall Dance Company, Hellenic Ballet Theatre and Joffrey Ensemble. Among his many prominent roles, highlights include Franz in Coppelia, Prince and Cavalier in Nutcracker, Peter in Peter and the Wolf, Czardas in Swan Lake as well as principal parts in several contemporary works. He has danced at major venues in Chicago, Washington D.C., Providence, Boston, Kanagawa, Japan and New York City. This is his first appearance on the West Coast and is thrilled to be working with his good friend, Ms. McCormick. |

Armando Neri – Spanish Señor Neri, a native of San Bernardino, California, is an accomplished artist in the dance form of Flamenco. He began his Flamenco studies at an early age with Eduardo Cansino (father of Rita Hayworth) and various members of the Cansino Family. He became a member of the Luisa Triana Dance Company and traveled throughout the United States and Canada as a featured dancer in that company. During the last several years, he has been associated with Lupe Del Rio, teacher/dancer in Hollywood, who for ten years was the lead female dancer for Jose Greco. |

Luigi de Nuñez – Spanish Luigi began his Flamenco training with Armando Neri at the age of thirteen. For several seasons, he appeared in the Mexican-American Pageant at Valley College of San Bernardino with Senor Neri’s company Los Flamencos. He continued his studies with Lupe Del Rio in Hollywood during which time he performed on the Walt Disney Channel. Other performances have been in the musical production of Luisa Fernanda with opera singer Hernan Pelayo at the Downey Opera House, and in the San Bernardino Civic Light Opera’s production of The Man of La Mancha as Jose. He has also appeared as a guest artist with Margo and her Dance Company. |

Nathan Hynum – Nutcracker, Arabian, Russian Nathan started his dance career in 1996 at the Lake Arrowhead School of Dance. He performed with the Lake Arrowhead Classical Ballet Company in La Fille Mal Gardee, Nutcracker, Stars and Stripes, Neue Liebeslieder Walzer, Peter and the Wolf, and The Union Jack. After graduating from high school, he attended the Rock School of Pennsylvania Ballet on full scholarship. Upon leaving the Rock School, Nathan pursued a B.A. in ballet performance from Belhaven College in Jackson, MS. During his four years there, Nathan performed and choreographed for numerous dance and theatre productions, including God Gets the Glory, Bach to Basics, Mara, Eternity, Cinderella, Fiddler on the Roof, Secret Garden, The Fantasticks, Romeo and Juliet and others. |

Raymond Genato – Mouse King, Russian, Parent Ray danced at the University of California, Irvine, where he studied under the careful tutelage of Dance Masters Israel “El” Gabriel, James Penrod, and Donald McKayle. He has performed such classics as McKayle’s Games and Album Leaves and Sophie Maslow’s The Village I Knew. He has also been cast in Evita and Me and My Girl. This is Raymond’s fifth year appearing in the Lake Arrowhead Classical Ballet Company’s production of The Nutcracker. |
